Client Referral Program (CRP)

At AGV we welcome and appreciate referrals from our business partners.

Referrals have always been important to our business. We even dare to say that nearly 60% of our business is generated from referrals. You might have noticed that we seldom post at tradeboards such as Alibaba.com, EC Plaza, etc . There is usually more than enough momentum from referrals to keep us busy. At times we put up postings in tradeboards just so that people know we are still around ! We are very low profile but we do our work efficiently. We have developed this Client Referral Program (CRP) to reward our business partners for their recommendations.

Who is this Program for?

You are here at this page because someone from AGV believes that you deserve a lot more for your hard work. The world is full of sales people who are overworked yet still under-paid. The companies they are working for are making millions of dollars yet their sales people are still being paid peanuts. It is a thankless job yet somebody has to do it. This Program is targetted at honest, hard-working sales people who believe they deserve more for their hard work without the usual hanky panky often associated with sales work.

How do we do that ?

We have been connecting our international buyers with RELIABLE suppliers since 1996. There is a huge market for reliable suppliers. As a consulting group, we are paid quite well by our clients as we provide specific solutions for them. Consultants don’t come cheap - that is a fact of life. We provide specialized expertise and services to our clients. We bring real value to our clients. In our case we use our buyer database to connect real buyers with RELIABLE suppliers. We get results for our suppliers. We bring them real buyers and we are compensated quite well for our work. Through this Client Referral Program (CRP) we would like to invite motivated and hard-working sales people to share our rewards.

We are going to share up to 20% of our consulting fees with you. At that rate we believe it is a lot higher than what most sales people could ever make at their normal day job.  You don’t have to quit your day job. You can do this in your spare time from anywhere - your home, Starbucks, on the bus going to work. Yes, from practically anywhere with an Internet connection. And best of all - there is no sales quota and there is no sales manager to report to.  You only provide us with information and a personal introduction to the decision maker in the company being referred to . You don’t even need to close the sale - our supplier will do that. There might also be a big chance for you to get recurring payments on certain deals. This is a serious offer and it is not a joke.

We are very selective

We are very selective about the people who refer business to us. You need to register with us first and if approved/accepted then you will be assigned with a unique reference code and a set of username and password to access the CRP’s Members Area. The referral forms are in that area and you need to be a member first before you can refer anybody to us. Although membership is free, the screening process is quite tight. We do not simply give this access to just anybody. The username and password will be changed from time to time. Only registered and approved members will be given the new username and password.

This is the time for you to really use your Rolodex to make real money for yourself. Face the facts - most of the time your Rolodex is sitting pretty there on your table, doing nothing and generating nothing for you. Now you have the chance to really use that Rolodex and make substantial amounts of money from this Program, especially from its passive recurring referral fees that can pay you for years to come.

We are not talking about income generation at Google-Adsense levels here (cents per click). We are talking about income generation from multiple international trade deals combined with multiple repeat orders spread over several years. Sounds interesting? It should be. If you’re familiar with international trade then you know what kind of figures we’re talking about here .

We are still growing , even during this economic slowdown

We have real buyers in our buyer database and our suppliers know that. That is our goldmine, our bargaining chip. We have made millions of dollars for many of our suppliers and manufacturers over the years.

At the same time we have also made a fortune for ourselves. Both sides benefit from the business relationship. Over the years we have grown a lot in terms of business networking as well as income generation. But we grow together with our suppliers and manufacturers. We believe in being fair to everyone in business. Stepping on other people's heads is NOT our way of doing business. We have come across some bad apples over the years but compared to the many good and honest business people we have managed to do business with, the bad apples are few and far apart.

We are still getting new buyers every single day. There are times when we have more buyers than suppliers. At a time when many suppliers are struggling to make ends meet, we are facing quite the opposite by having more buyers than RELIABLE suppliers. We are not talking about just any supplier here. We are looking for RELIABLE suppliers here. We have rejected quite a lot of suppliers because of reliability issues. Most of them have failed our reference checks. A few of them are even listed on their country’s stock exchange. We have learned a long time ago NEVER to measure a company’s reliability by its listed status. We have noticed that RELIABLE suppliers are more in demand during economic slowdowns.

Why this Program?

Why not? We already have a global supplier database and a global buyer database. As we get more and more buyers we also need to expand our supplier database to keep up with the demands. Previously when we started this Client Referral Program (CRP) in early 2005, it was opened to the public. The response was huge and we had buckets of recommendations. We did a review of the program after 6 months and came out with a startling analysis. Yes, the response was huge but since the referers could be anybody (any Tom, Dick and Harry from anywhere can register and become a referer) we ended up with more junk recommendations than legitimate ones. We even had referers who scoured through the tradeboards daily looking for buying requests and later passed on those buying requests to us. The problem was when we checked with the buyers, the buying requests were legitimate but they were made 3 or 4 years before that!! They were certainly not up-to-date .

After about a year we decided to revamp the whole program. So we stopped taking in referrals completely, cleaned up the list - making sure the real referers were maintained, and put in a better check & balance system . That took us nearly 7 months to complete . By September 2006 we were ready and we re-opened this program again that month. It has been running since then.

We have adopted several measures to ensure a more effective referral process and we have built in a few safeguards to avoid repeating our earlier mistakes. The major change to the old system involves a new requirement whereby the referer is required to introduce us personally to the decision maker in the company being referred to . This is to ensure that we are dealing with the right person who has the authority to make decisions for the company.

How does Client Referral Program (CRP) work?

Just refer new business* to us by introducing us personally to the decision maker in the company being referred to and if your referral leads to a sale between our buyers and suppliers - you’ll be rewarded! And in some cases you might end up with recurring referral fees as our buyers buy repeatedly on a regular basis. Your referrals might bring you a substantial passive recurring income for years to come!.


A) Register yourself as a Referer

   You can apply by clicking HERE . We will evaluate your application carefully based on your merits.
   If accepted you will be given a unique reference code and a set of username and password to
   access the CRP’s Members Area. Every time you want to make a referral to us you must go into
   the CRP’s Members Area and include your unique reference code in the referral form.



B) How to refer a new supplier to AGV

  1. Fill up the Supplier Referral Form HERE , giving details on the new supplier .
     
  2. A simple introduction to the decision maker at the supplier company is the only effort required from your part .
    Just introduce us to the decision maker there .
    From past experience it would be easier for you if you have something on us to show to the decision maker.
    Just download our company write-up HERE and give it to the decision maker.
    We will follow up and handle all the negotiations with the new supplier .
     
  3. New supplier signs agreement with AGV - AGV will help find buyers for its products .
     
  4. If AGV manages to connect the new supplier to a buyer and the buyer agrees to buy then AGV will receive its consulting fees after full payment for the products is made. You will then get your referral fees which are equal to 20% of our consulting fees from the deal.

    Our consulting fees will only be paid by the supplier after each successful transaction with our buyer is completed. All payments are in US Dollars .
     
  5. We will try our best to get the new supplier to agree to pay us for repeat orders from buyers sourced by us.
    However there is no guarantee a new supplier will agree to that but from experience there is a high probability of getting it.
    If the new supplier agrees to pay us for repeat orders then for every repeat order AGV will also receive its consulting fees and you in turn will also get your recurring referral fees - at the same rate of 20% of our consulting fees!
     
  6. By replicating the deal with other buyers in our buyer database, the combination of multiple deals and repeat orders can bring you a substantial amount of passive recurring income over time.

C) How to refer a new buyer to AGV

  1. Fill up the Buyer Referral Form HERE , giving details on the new buyer .

CRP Terms and Conditions

  1. The term "new business" means a referral resulting in a signed contract with a new client .
     
  2. Payment by referred client must be received in full by AGV before referral fees can be issued. Referral fees are generally awarded within 1 week of full payment from the referred client.
     
  3. There is no limit between the time of the referral and the time the contract is signed. If you make a  referral that leads to a contract years later, the fee will still apply.
     
  4. If two referrals are received for the same contact or company, the first referral received will be awarded the referral fees.
     
  5. Any fees awarded may be considered as taxable income. You are advised to make the necessary arrangements with your local tax collection authorities.
     
  6. In the event of a dispute - AGV reserves the right to change or modify this program without notice. AGV has sole authority over the referral process and all aspects of the program are governed by AGV's Management. AGV shall be the ruling authority over any and all disputes, subject to the laws of Malaysia, and any decisions made by AGV are final.
     
  7. If your referral lead results in a sale, we will notify you by email once we have received the full payment from the referred client.

The 2 Rules

  1. Whoever introduces us to a buyer which later results in the buyer buying products from our supplier(s) then he/she will receive 20% of our consulting fees from those deals.
     
  2. Whoever introduces us to a supplier which later results in our buyer(s) buying products from that particular supplier then he/she will receive 20% of our consulting fees from those deals.

Scenario 1

1) You are working for a supplier company which manufactures frozen seafood.

2) You go to our website and register yourself under our Client Referral Program (CRP) . According to the program , whoever introduces us to a supplier which later results in our buyer(s) buying products from that particular supplier then he/she will receive 20% of our consulting fees from those deals.

3) You bring up our company name to your company's boss and introduce us to him directly. We will give a presentation to your boss, offering him access to our international buyer database. Your boss could see a huge potential for the company to make money from our buyer database and he agreed to work together with us. He later signed an agreement with us , agreeing to give us 5% of the invoice price for all the buyers that we bring to your company . You are now in business as your company has signed up with us ! Whenever we get any buyers who are looking for your products we will contact you directly. You will be our contact person at your company.


Typical scenario

Let's say that your company has agreed to give us a consulting fee of 5% of the invoice price for all the buyers that we bring to your company . The agreement is then signed between your company and us. Some time later one of our buyers calls us and asks us to look for some products. One of the products is currently manufactured by your company . So we bring in our buyer to your company through you so that you will be assigned to that case and no one else. You do a presentation to our buyer and give him a price quotation with our portion already built into that price quotation as agreed before between your company and us. After some negotiations our buyer decides to buy your company's products worth USD 1 million. A Purchase Order is given out and the products go out to the buyer . After full payment is completed, your company will then pay us our portion from the deal which is USD 50,000 ( 5% of USD 1 million ) . As agreed we will share 20% of this amount with you which is USD 10,000 . We will send that USD 10,000 to YOUR bank account by TT. We will even cover the TT fees so that you will get the full USD 10,000 . Simple enough, we hope .

Scenario 2

1) You are working for a supplier company which manufactures frozen seafood. You happen to know someone (Mr. X) who owns a company producing furnitures.

2) You go to our website and register yourself under our Client Referral Program (CRP) . According to the program , whoever introduces us to a supplier which later results in our buyer(s) buying products from that particular supplier then he/she will receive 20% of our consulting fees from those deals.

3) You bring up our company name to Mr. X and introduce us to him directly. We will then give a presentation to Mr. X, offering him access to our international buyer database. Mr. X could see a huge potential for his company to make money from our buyer database and he agreed to work together with us. He later signed an agreement with us , agreeing to give us 7% of the invoice price for all the buyers that we bring to his company . Whenever we get any buyers who are looking for his company's products we will contact him directly. If that results in sales then we will receive our consulting fees after full payment for the products is made and you in turn will get 20% of our consulting fees as agreed.


Typical scenario

Let's say that Mr. X's company has agreed to give us a consulting fee of 7% of the invoice price for all the buyers that we bring to his company . The agreement is then signed between Mr. X's company and us. Some time later one of our buyers calls us and asks us to look for some products. One of the products is currently manufactured by Mr. X's company . So we bring in our buyer to Mr. X's company . Mr. X will do a presentation to our buyer and give him a price quotation with our portion already built into that price quotation as agreed before between Mr. X's company and us. After some negotiations our buyer decides to buy Mr. X's products worth USD 1 million. A Purchase Order is given out and the products go out to the buyer . After full payment is completed, Mr. X's company will then pay us our portion from the deal which is USD70,000 ( 7% of USD 1 million ) . As agreed we will share 20% of this amount with you which is USD 14,000 . We will send that USD 14,000 to YOUR bank account by TT. We will even cover the TT fees so that you will get the full USD 14,000 .

Benefits from our Client Referral Program (CRP)

  1. By bringing our buyers direct to you , we can help YOU fill up YOUR sales quota . If you are in sales, that means less work for you to do to meet your monthly sales quota.
     
  2. We will help you make substantial amounts of money from our Client Referral Program (CRP) . Remember that we will give you 20% of our consulting fees from the deals we make for our suppliers. And we have not touched yet on the commission that your own company is giving out to its sales people. If you are very good at selling and your company has a good track record, we might be persuaded to send more buyers your way. But first show us what you can do.
     
  3. You can enjoy recurring income in some cases as our buyers re-order the same products (or order new and different products) from your company . The referral fees also cover repeat orders as well as new orders. If our supplier agrees to pay us for repeat orders from buyers sourced by us then as long as our buyers are still buying our supplier’s products then we will be receiving our consulting fees. And as long as we still receive our consulting fees then 20% of that is still yours as your recurring referral fees. If our buyers buy from our suppliers for 5 years then you will keep receiving your referral fees for 5 years.
     

We still have suppliers paying our consulting fees from deals done several years ago - our buyers are  still buying the same products from the same suppliers month after month. These repeat orders clearly show the exceptional level of commitment our suppliers have towards their customers. We still make money from these repeat orders until today although the whole thing started years ago . And we still bring new buyers to them consistently on a regular basis. That is the secret to the whole relationship . It's a bit like becoming the top salesman in a company. The company knows that you are a valuable asset to the company as you consistently bring in sales to the company . If you leave then you might take along your clients with you and your company doesn't want that to happen. So do you think they will treat you like dirt? We don't think so. You have the bargaining power there.
